Jeff Burton --

For the third consecutive season, Jeff Burton, a model of consistency, disputed by the Championship Cup Sprint, however, sputtered to finish the season after victory at Charlotte in October. Stable Burrton define the 2008 season. He scored ten finish in the middle of 36 races and won two races (Bristol and Charlotte). Burton led the Sprint Cup championship several weeks in the spring, but the team has slowly 31 began to slide down the ladder as the season progressed. Charlotte Burton win again in the championship radar, but their dreams of championship began to disappear quickly once the series was at Martinsville a week later.

In 2009, Burton, will compete in the Chase for the Championship by default. The challenge for a win from time to time, but it would not be surprised if he had found a season without a win.

5. Clint Bowyer --

After debuting in 2007, many analysts view a competitor for the title of Clint Bowyer. Unfortunately, the 2008 season Bowyer's just until the 2007 season. His only victory this season occurred in Richmond, and only because Denny Hamlin cut a tire with less 20 laps, then Dale Earnhart, Jr. and Kyle Busch the ballyhoo on the runway. As both Richard Childress Racing "> http://www.nascapper.com/ "> co-Racing Bowyer was complete and therefore won a place in the Chase for the Championship for the second consecutive season.

Bowyer will be on 07, Team Jack Daniel's and become the pilot of the upstart team 33 General Mills to Richard Childress Racing. Although being not organizations change, a new cast of characters around him, including a chief of the team, Shane Wilson. It will be difficult for Bowyer to qualify for the Chase for the Championship based on their 2008 results, especially taking into account the evolution team.

4.

Kevin Harvick --

Kevin Harvick has not won a race in 2008, but was in good company. Kenneth Matt and Jeff Gordon has joined in a guild without a win. However, Harvick experienced a series of nine consecutive top ten positions in the summer, which helped him win a third consecutive Chase the appearance of the tournament. While Harvrick was one of the best players in the second half of the season, seemed to be a fourth seventh of the driver, the better. Their season almost similar to those of his teammates, except Harvick has not won a race.

Harvick should fight for a spot in the Chase for the Championship in 2009. He became one of the most consistent drivers in NASCAR. Consistency alone can not win championships, but it takes a man of twelve, ten clash career.

3. Greg Biffle --

Greg Biffle has not won a "> Http://www.nascapper.com/"> to run in the first 26 races, but once the Chase for the Championship approached, Biffle came out swinging. He opened the Chase for the Championship with back-to-back wins in New Hampshire and Dover. He stayed in striking distance of Jimmie Johnson, for the final race of the season. Overall, the 2008 season has been one outbreak Biffle, who many revere as one of the most talented drivers in the garage.

Biffle has yet to qualify for the Chase for the Championship in the following seasons, but this should change in 2009. It seems that this team is just the tip of the iceberg of his unlimited potential. Biffle is ready to fight for the Sprint Cup championship.

2. Carl Edwards --

Perhaps a little patience at Talladega and a little luck in Charlotte have come a long way in offering Carl Edwards in the 2008 Championship Cup Sprint. Edwards was easily faster than Jimmie Johnson has been over the last ten races. Won three of last four careers. Unfortunately, two finishes are poor enough to reduce their championship aspirations. That said, Edwards led the Sprint Cup Series in victories with nine, the top five, with nineteen years and tens to 27. Edwards certainly had his best season to date.

Edwards is the favorite game of the season championship in 2009 with all my apologies to Jimmie Johnson. While Johnson and Kyle Busch has had brilliant moments in 2008, has also had moments of perceived vulnerability. Edwards was Rapid Daytona to Homestead and everywhere in between.

1.

Jimmie Johnson --

Jimmie Johnson finished the Tri-feta, three peat, or anything can evoke another subject. He joined the legendary Caleb Yarborough as the only drivers to win three consecutive championships. This season was a long walk in the park of Johnson, however. The team first fought in the intermediate tracks with the car of tomorrow in the spring. His performance in Las Vegas was probably the worst performance by this, since his arrival in _blank> NASCAR> http://www.nascapper.com/ "> NASCAR in the fall of 2001. However, Team owner Chad Klaus and team 48 has solved the problems for homework, to find the balance at home Johnson needed. As the season progressed, the team 48 becomes more formidable, and when the hunt for the championship arrived, Johnson was the pilot to beat. He has won three times in chase ten race for the championship, and finished worse than 15th on the way to NASCAR's ultimate prize.

It is difficult understand a driver and team to win four consecutive titles. However, Johnson is a perennial favorite championship and this team is as close to perfect than any team in the sport's rich history. Johnson has won several races again in 2009, and hopes that you're in position to win their fourth championship in November.

Clint Bowyer question ?????

Can anyone explain why Clint Bowyer is not allowed to take the owner of 07 points with him when he goes to 33 and drive like other cars in the past have done? What makes this time so different?

I think after Last year, all of Kurt Busch / Sam Hornish fiasco, NASCAR may be decided that teams will no longer be able to change the points. In addition, NASCAR and the rules seem to make progress and do not always remember what they say.
